After 3 years, Miriam Faura(Choreographer/Artistic DIrector Race and Rhythm DT and Noche de Feria) will re start her regular classes at Race and Rhythm Space in Tufnell Park. ; Basic body and feet work techniques and Flamenco rhythms thought sequences.
The classes will be focussed in body work from traditional Flamenco technique to new personal technique developed by the Choreographer from a variety of dance styles. The workshops will allow participants to find more freedom, movement vocabulary and change of dynamics in their body movements when dancing Flamenco. FLAMENCO MARATHON:
intensive weekend training and performance
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October
The International Flamenco and Creative Dance Marathon is a very intensive weekend where you will learn and/or improve your Flamenco dance technique with two creative and very experienced Dance Leaders.
The course is suitable for all levels from beginners to intermediate advanced.
The weekend will include 10 hours training and a final open performance at Noche de Feria with professional Flamenco artists.

AUDITION-INTENSIVE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Combined Argentinean Tango and Flamenco dance and percussion training for professional dancers of other backgrounds
Miriam Faura and Julian Marcelo Elizari will be running a unique program that will give the opportunity to 20 advanced (three or more years of full time training) and professional dancers of other dance backgrounds (Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Commercial, Salsa...) to learn Argentinean Tango and Flamenco dance and percussion technique in order to broader their skills and to prepare professional dancers to work with the company in their future regular events at Race and Rhythm Space in North London. Race and Rhythm DT incorporates Flamenco and Argentinean Tango as main elements in movement vocabulary of their works.
Courses are 6-8 hours a day for five days Mon- Fri and one day performance at Race and Rhythm Space in North London
All participants will perform at the Argentinean Tango Short Film Festival with a piece created during the week. There is not an extra fee for the performance.
Selected professional dancers with 3 o more years of experience will be paid £100 for the final performance at the Argentinean Tango short film Festival
Race and Rhythm will also select 6 performers from the workshops-auditions for their upcoming performances 2009 15th October and 17th December and two more possible dates and further performances in 2010 at Race and Rhythm Space plus the possibility of other contracts during the year in Uk and abroad.
Dancers who have previously attended to our auditions or contacted us in the past are welcome to apply.
